The value for money at this hostel was excellent, with comfortable beds and clean showers. The location was central, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The staff were helpful and friendly, assisting with tour bookings and even giving me a ride to fix my phone and laptop.

The breakfast option could have been improved with more variety or additional choices.

The room was large and pretty. It was clean (by Asian standards). The wi-fi worked well. The air-con worked well. The location was not bad. The price was reasonable for the area. I checked in about 10:30 am (early flight) and they had a room ready, and didn't say anything about me being early for check-in.

Where to start? I think it must have changed hands. The staff's attitude was surly (especially one young man) - they tried to overcharge me on the exchange rate - did an extremely poor job cleaning the room (consistently over 6 nights - even leaving obviously dirty glasses) - the "American" breakfast consisted of one baguette, one egg and powdered coffee or very sweet powdered tea - the in-room breakfast no longer exists - there was mold on the ceiling in the bathroom - the bed was typical Vietnamese - hard and uncomfortable - the location is actually not in the main tourist area, but a bit off to one side.

The staff at City Backpackers were friendly and helpful. The location of the hostel was perfect, situated in the middle of the Old Quarter. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and the free beer in the evening was a nice touch. Despite the cramped rooms, the storage lockers under the bed were spacious and convenient. I had a great stay at City Backpackers and would highly recommend it.

The location was excellent as it was right in the heart of the Old Quarters. Staff were friendly and always smiling.

Street traffic was rather loud - wish they had double glazed windows.

I had a fantastic stay at the hostel. The rooms were spacious and had plenty of storage for my luggage. The bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. The best part was the complimentary breakfast with a variety of options like fruit, pancakes, noodles, and cereals. I also enjoyed the free beer hour in the evenings. The staff, especially Ryan, were pretty good too make my stay comfortable and enjoyable. The location was great, with easy access to local restaurants and attractions. A Memorable Stay at an Exciting City Hostel

During my recent stay in Hanoi, I experienced the most incredible time at a wonderfully convenient hostel. Situated in the heart of the city, it was an ideal location for exploring all that Hanoi has to offer. With everything within walking distance, I found it extremely convenient to visit tourist attractions, such as Hoan Kiem Lake, and indulge in the vibrant nightlife of the famous beer street.

the internet connection at the hostel was quite poor, which made it difficult for me to stay connected with friends and family back home.

We had an very nice stay at this hostel! The value we got for our money was unbeatable, with perfect rooms and a cozy atmosphere. The location was perfect for exploring the city, and the staff treated us like family.

The food for breakfast could have been more diverse and tasty.

The staff at this hostel were incredible. They went above and beyond to make sure I had a comfortable stay. The rooms were very comfy and the showers and bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. I also enjoyed the fact that I could change money and book tours right at the hostel. The location was perfect, with plenty of food options and museums within a 15-minute walk. Plus, they even offered free beer!

While my first stay at this hostel was great, the second time I stayed, the room wasn't as clean or well-maintained. The bed sheet had stains on it, and there were mouldy walls and a broken shower.
